What I need from you is this:

  • Your complete edited and ready to publish manuscript
  • Your style preference. Start with one of my examples and tell me what you want different if you like
  • Your scene break and chapter header art if you want them
  • Your preferred copyright information (I have samples, but it can be yours)
  • A deposit. $10 will get us started. This is just so we both know you are serious

What you can expect:

  • I will contact you within 24 hours to let you know I received and read your order. I will let you know if I have any initial questions, and send you an estimate of the final cost based on what you requested. This is not to pay, this is so there are no surprises. You will pay once you approve the PDF and before you receive the final files.
  • I am formatting, not editing. I will not be looking for spelling or grammatical errors. If something is glaringly obvious I will let you know, but that isn’t this service.
  • Less than 72 hours later you will receive a PDF for your approval. It will have HUTIA LLC as a watermark all over it because it will otherwise be publishable.
  • Once you approve the PDF, and pay via PayPal, you will get the clean PDF, KDP, and epub files sent to you via a download link.
  • I guarantee my work for uploading to Amazon, Draft2Digital, Google, and KOBO. Contact me with any issues and I will resolve them immediately. Uploading files is your responsibility.
  • I will correct any formatting errors that might come up. This doesn’t include typos or changes. We can work something out for those.

FAQ:

Question: Will you format my bonus scenes, epilogues, and short stories for distribution on my social media and web site?

Answer: Yes, but not at first. If you are a repeat customer and we have established your look and style, it becomes much more feasible to do short projects at a reasonable rates. We can discuss after your first book is approved.

Question: Can I put links in my ebooks? Can they be affiliate links?

Answer: Yes, but the type of link depends on your distribution. Amazon only wants clean links in their books and they can only point to things related to your book. If you are using my sample chapter creation add on, we can add tracking links or affiliate links so you know how your marketing is working.

Question: Will my price change between the initial estimate and the final delivery?

Answer: Maybe. I am not going to change the value of my services. You might decide you need more pictures, or found spelling changes, or changed the name of the character, etc. If your needs change during the production, the final price might change.

Question: Will you check spelling and grammar for me?

Answer: No. This service is just for formatting. If something jumps out, I will bring it up, but that isn’t what you are paying for.

Question: Does this service include editing?

Answer: No. I am only trying to align your beautiful, amazing, incredible story into a visually pleasing format.

Question: Will my font style preference matter for my eBook?

Answer: No. We can set a font style for the ebook, but the beauty of ebooks is that the font and size can be changed to fit the readers preferences and needs. The importance is spacing and layout. Your font preference will be important in the paperback book format.

Question: There are free ways to format. Why should I hire your service?

Answer: Control. The free services have some options, but are mostly an upload and accept. With my service the book will be in your control to change styles, fonts, and graphics.

Question: What are these PDF, KDP, and epub formats and why should I care?

Answer: PDF is the industry standard for printing a book. It can be printed other ways, but PDF locks the text and look of the pages so it will be the same no matter where you print it. KDP is Amazon’s own book style. It allows more visual options than the epub format. Epub is a format that can be read on nearly all eBook programs. A specific example of differences between KDP and epub is drop caps; they look great in KDP but often don’t display consistently in epub.

Question: Will you publish my book to Amazon, Draft2Digital, and Kobo for me?

Answer: Not at this time. If being your publisher is of interest to you, let us know. At this time we are not offering this service.
